Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in Ukraine Q1 2023

Throughout the first quarter of 2023, the top five navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Ukraine demonstrated diverse performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active users for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads showing a general upward trend. Starting from 22.6K downloads in late December, the app saw an increase, peaking at approximately 45K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained around the 1.2M mark, with a peak of 1.28M in mid-March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced modest download numbers, ranging from 5.4K to 7K downloads per week. Active users saw a slight decrease from 213K at the end of December to 190K by the end of March, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

eTOLLs EU - #1 toll aggregator, although a newer entry, showed a significant spike in downloads in its initial weeks, reaching 22.4K in mid-February. However, this number quickly tapered off to around 250 downloads per week by the end of March.

Google Earth had relatively stable download numbers, hovering between 1.4K and 2.2K per week. Active user numbers remained consistent, mostly staying between 6.3K and 6.8K throughout the quarter.

MAPS.ME: Offline Maps, GPS Nav saw weekly downloads range from 1.3K to 1.7K. The app's active users showed slight fluctuations, starting at 6.9K in late December and ending at 6.3K by the end of March.
